Heritage Farm Museum provides insight into the history of farming while also looking to the future of the sector. It will help youngsters learn where the food on their plate comes from, using hands-on methods.
Kids will be able to take a seat for a wagon ride that will provide a tour of the farm and its animals, and a crafting activity is also part of the plans for the day. Buttermilk, the venue’s mechanical milking cow, will be set up so they can try milking by hand. Families are welcome to bring their own lunch to enjoy once the session has drawn to a close.
