Plano set to celebrate Year of the Pig

With the Year of the Pig coming up on the Chinese calendar, a Plano eatery will be marking the occasion by hosting an evening that will celebrate Chinese food, culture and music.

A ten-course meal featuring traditional Chinese favorites will be served to the guests at JS Chen’s DimSum and BBQ’s New Year’s dinner. It will open with chicken and corn soup and finish with a light dessert of oranges. Wine and other beverages will be placed at each table for the enjoyment of the attendees, and they are welcome to bring along a bottle of their own if they wish.

Along with the food, a schedule of entertainment has been planned for the evening. A Chinese orchestra will perform with the accompaniment of a children’s choral group, and there will also be traditional lion and dragon dances. The Chinese zodiac and the meaning behind it will be presented, and this is just part of the fun to be had.

The restaurant that will be hosting this special event is located at 240 Legacy Drive in Plano. Menus, signage and other items for an occasion like this can be prepared by local Print shops.

Guest will be welcomed to this celebration starting at 5:30 pm. It will be held on February 10, and all ages are welcome to join in the festivities.
