An effort is underway to make Plano a community that has lots of ways to enjoy fun in the great outdoors. An event that highlights the many benefits of doing so will soon be held in the city, and everyone is invited to stop by.
Mental Health of America of Greater Dallas and Texas A & M Forest Services have worked together to bring “Mind Your Garden” to the residents of Plano. It will be held outdoors, and will offer living proof of the benefits that can come with connecting with nature. It’s free, but RSVPS are required.
A variety of stations will be set up for the event and each will offer something different. The attendees can stop by each of them to gather information and learn about community resources. There will also be a yoga session, food trucks, face painting for the young and young at heart, live music and even a chance to play with some friendly puppies.
While it’s free to attend the event, the planners of the function have put together a special VIP package for those who are interested. These are $25.00, and include a tote bag, promotional Pens and a tee shirt that has been printed with a graphic design prepared especially for the occasion.
Mind Your Garden will be showcasing the benefits of being with nature on September 28th. The Plano Environmental Education center is hosting the activity.
