Plano’s gourmets may wish to save space in their Calendars for an event that will showcase all that the local food service community has to offer.
Maggiano's will soon be hosting the Plano Food and Wine Festival, which will be held at The Shops at Willow Bend. There will be lots of food and drink on offer, as well as entertainment and a chance to do some shopping as well.
More than 100 wines will be on offer for sampling, and there will also be dishes prepared by area restaurants and food trucks. Four bands will be on hand to keep the crowd on their feet, and Sprouts Fresh Farmers’ Market will be staging a variety of demonstrations throughout the day. The community’s children will also be getting into the act, as the Plano Children’s Theatre will be staging 15-minute performances for the guests. Grape stomping contests and other fun are also on the agenda.
There is no charge to enter the festivities, and food and drink tickets can be purchased on site. They can also be bought ahead of time, and those who choose this option will receive a free wine glass. The fun is set to begin at 12:00 noon on October 6, and it will run until 4:00 pm. All ages are welcome.
