Plano farm to welcome families for Thanksgiving

During the Thanksgiving season, many pause to consider the hard work farmers and other food producers put in throughout the year. Plano’s Heritage Farmstead Museum wants to join in the celebrations.

Kids between the ages of two and five will be the guests of honor for an interactive morning of activities hosted at the farmstead, with a Thanksgiving theme running through the event. Parents and caregivers can participate as well, and tickets for the function need to be ordered ahead of time.

The kids and parents will be taking part in an assortment of activities that will introduce them to life on the farm, and they will also enjoy a wagon ride, meeting some of the livestock face to face and making a craft to keep and take home. There will also be a story reading, and the program's run time is two hours with stations set up for each family to visit.

The response to Covid has caused many not-for-profit organizations and companies to change the way they do business. Stationery printers will be able to supply customized waivers printed with an organization’s logo designs to use during this sort of event.

Plano’s Heritage Farm Museum has made plans to welcome families for this hands-on activity on November 5. The gates will be open starting at 10:00 am.
