Plano dresses up for Gala

Plano locals can enjoy dinner, dancing, live entertainment, and prizes at the Plano Symphony Orchestra’s Valentine Gala.

The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, a cardiac surgery center, is presenting this event, for which black-tie dress is optional.

Tickets cost $175 per person. Individuals can also purchase tickets to enter the Gala drawing. The grand prize is a choice of trips, including airfare, while the second place prize is a staycation package. Cuff links and cheese and wine evenings are also among the prizes.

The Plano Symphony Orchestra is a nonprofit organization that hopes to bring music to all ages in the community. As a professional orchestra, the organization offers concerts, solos, and ensemble performances throughout the year.

The Plano Symphony Guild, the orchestra’s volunteer group, helps the symphony with its programs and goals. It’s likely the guild has called upon a postcard printing service to make a direct mailer to send out to the Plano community. The postcard could inform residents about the upcoming Valentine Gala and include important information, such as admission costs, along with the time and date.

The fun starts on February 14 at 6:00 pm with a cocktail hour and silent auction. At 7:00 pm, dinner and a live auction will begin. Live auction items include trips and furniture.

It all takes place at the Marriott at Legacy Town Center, located on 7120 Dallas Parkway.
