Plano business training session to give details about how to secure government contracts

Federal, state and local government contracts can be a valuable source of income for business, and an upcoming Plano workshop will give those who take part a chance to learn more about how to navigate the process of securing them for themselves.

The orientation session will cover a variety of topics, including Determining Right Point of Entry, how the government bid process works, and why it can be beneficial to have a minority certification. Along with the training, participants will be able to access follow-up counseling at no charge that has been individually set up just for them.

The event has been organized by the Collin Small Business Development Center, which was formed in 1989 as a partnership between Collins College, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the State of Texas. It works to help support business in the state by providing it with training and support at a minimal cost or free of charge. A printer can design and produce an assortment of customized Promotional Products to help market what it has to offer to those who can make use of it.

The Government Contracting Orientation workshop will be held on November 18 at the Collin College Courtyard Center, located at 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano. There is no cost to take part.
