Performance to take Taiwanese style puppet show and bring to the modern age

A Taiwanese group of performers will be reenacting the legend of ‘Nan-Xi’ and will blend modern touches with the traditional methods used for this type of show.

Puppetry has a long history in Taiwan and has been considered to be an art form for many years. All ages are welcome to take in this Plano area experience.

It was noted in the performance’s listing that this is the first event of its kind to make use of projection mapping to improve the show, and it will also utilize modern light projection and audio equipment. The end result adds a modern twist to a story told for many years, all while putting Taiwanese culture front and center.

The story told in the show is that of a kung-fu master who takes on the evil in the world, and it has been written so that it will be fun instead of frightening. Full of music and movement, the performance is suitable for any age.

While tickets are free, donations will be welcome. Seating will not be allocated ahead of time, so anyone who wants to secure one of the top seats needs to arrive either on time or a bit early.

At a cultural performance like this, supplying attendees with printed programs from Stationery printers can help make the most from the show and ensure people understand its significance.

This opportunity to experience a piece of Taiwanese culture will be taking to the stage on May 5. The show will be staged at the Allen Public Library.
