A day that combines helping families with having fun in the sun is right around the corner, and the Gleneagles Country Club in Plano has been chosen to host the occasion.
Golfers who register for the Addison Rotary Open will be teeing off in support of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. To date, the classic has raised over £2m for its charity of choice, and the organizers hope this year will continue that success.
The tournament will follow a four-person scramble format, and some of the holes have a designated prize such as cash or a luxury car. There will be a shotgun start at 1:00 pm, and when everyone has played through, they can retire to the clubhouse for an evening of socializing and enjoying little bites and cocktails. This will be followed by an awards presentation and raffle draw. Its listing pointed out that the course has 18 holes as was designed by Von Hagge and Devlin.
