Leaving a plate of cookies and a glass of milk is a tradition that many kids in Plano will be participating in this holiday season, and a local class will teach them how to make some special treats for the jolly old elf.
Baking and decorating cookies is just part of the fun that will be on offer for the students in the Maggiano’s Little Italy cooking workshop. The kids will be rolling up their sleeves to help make the dough, and once the hands-on portion of the event is finished, they will be invited to join with their mom and dad for the lunch buffet.
Parents or guardians are welcome to stay with their son or daughter for the workshop, and they can purchase a ticket so they can enjoy the buffet right along with them. Alternatively, they can opt to drop off their child for the two hours so that they can finish their holiday shopping, or just enjoy a coffee with a friend.
Each of the little chefs will be going home with some cookie dough so that the whole family can bake together. Area Print shops can supply laminated recipe cards and even bound recipe Books that can be given to each child who comes to an event like this.
Maggiano’s Little Italy will be hosting this holiday themed event on December 22. Tickets for the little chefs are $35 each.
