Plano venue plans Thanksgiving-themed baking class

Preparing treats for a holiday gathering may seem like a daunting task, but this year, Plano residents will have a secret weapon on their side.

Central Market Plano will be helping registrants in its Thanksgiving Desserts Make and Take to prepare for the holiday by creating an assortment of baked goods. It is for those age 13 and up, although those younger than 16 will need to have a parent or guardian with them.

Participants in the workshop will be preparing a flaky pie pastry dough as well as a cream cheese dough, and they will also craft an apple filling they can spice to their own taste. After this, it will be time to prepare the pecan sweets. According to the listing for the class, all the items can be stored in the freezer until they are needed. They will only need to be baked before they are served.

As the registrants will need to sign a waiver before the activity begins, everyone who Signs up is asked to arrive a few minutes early. Letterheads and other business documents for a function can be prepared by a professional Print shop.

This two-hour food preparation session will run from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 24. Central Market Cooking School can be found at 320 Coit Road Place. Tickets cost $85.
