Plano theater company set to stage childrens performance

‘Anne of Green Gables’ is a play set in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and a performance of this classic tale will soon be staged in Plano’s Willow Bend Center for the Arts.

The story relates the tale of the early life of the fictional character of Anne Shirley, who is an orphan adopted by an older woman and her brother. Though prone to making well-intentioned mistakes, she and her new family come to love and care for each other deeply. It will be directed by Seth Nelson, and has been adapted from the Lucy Maud Montgomery novel by Jody Davidson. It is being staged by the Plano Children’s Theater.

The play is geared for kids in grades 3 to 8, and both afternoon and evening performances have been scheduled. The ticket prices start at $10 each. A local poster printing service can provide Posters and other Promotional Products that can help to market an event like this to families in the area who may be interested in attending.

Anne of Green Gables will run from February 22 until 25 at 6121 West Park Boulevard in Plano. More details about both the event and the story it is based on can be found by visiting the North Texas Performing Arts website, or by calling the organizers at the Plano Children’s Theater at 972-422-2575.
