Plano runners invited to show their support to those living with brain tumors

The American Brain Tumor Foundation has organized a fundraising run in Plano, and it is hoping that as many people as possible will decide to lend a helping hand.

The BT-5k run and walk will bring together people from all over the area who want to raise money to help those living with brain tumors, as well as to support research into finding new treatments and cures. People can choose to run or walk individually or as part of a team, and can even set up their own page on the race’s site where they can explain why they are running and accept contributions from supporters.

The event will be timed, and each person who participates will receive a free T-shirt and virtual swag bag to thank them for their generosity of spirit. Those who plan an event such as this can use the services of a printing company to supply them with branded items such as shirts, Banners, and Promotional Products. Donations will also be gratefully accepted from anyone who cannot attend the race but who still wishes to make a difference.

The BT-5k run will be taking place in Plano’s Amphitheater at Oak Point Park on March 4, starting at 9:00 am. All ages are welcome to lace up their sneakers and join in the fun. Additional details have been provided on the Visit Plano website.
