Plano residents invited to sharpen their knife skills

August is harvest time in Plano, and Cutco Kitchens will be hosting an event that will help people from the local area learn how to make the most of the season’s bounty.

During the From Root to Stalk kitchen party, which is being offered free of charge, guests will have an opportunity to learn how to transform fresh veggies, fruit, and other ingredients into nutritious meals that showcase their flavors. They will also be taught different knife skills that they can use to quickly prepare the components of the different dishes without any waste.

Each person who participates will be able to test out their new abilities at one of the cutting stations that will be provided, and as they learn by doing this, the attendees will be able to enjoy wine, light refreshments, and friendly conversation with the other members of the class. Digital copying can be used to craft Copies of the recipes and other information to distribute to those who register for a class such as this.

This workshop, which will teach both knife skills and how to craft healthy meals from the late summer harvest, has been planned for August 22 at the Cutco Kitchen, which can be found at 700 Alma Drive in Plano. More details and a chance to register can be found by visiting the company’s website.
