Dallas will soon be welcoming football fans for the annual Cotton Bowl, but before the players take to the field, a golf Classic will take place near Plano.
Graland’s Firewheel Golf Park will see players hit the course in the “Get Teed Off at OU” goal classic. Play will kick off in the morning, and the day will wrap up with dinner and the presentation of awards.
The plan will follow a six-person Florida Scramble format, and the monies raised through the day will be added to the Dallas Texas Exes Scholarship Fund. There is room for more than 300 players, and Smokey the Cannon will be fired to let the players know when it is time to begin. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included, and snacks and beverages will also be supplied. Everyone will be able to purchase tickets to try their luck in the raffle, and mulligan packages are also available.
A golf fundraiser can provide a relaxed setting for socializing and networking. Business Cards may be useful items to have on hand for such an activity, and they can be ordered from local business card printing companies.
Now in its 36th year, the event will hit the links on Friday, October 11, starting at 8:00 am. Tickets start at $351.90, which includes taxes and fees.
