Plano museum offers farm fun day

Plano’s Heritage Farmstead Museum offers a link to the city’s past, and its younger patrons are on the guest list for a day filled with active, hands-on fun.

The venue runs its Little Farmer Friday program, and early March’s installment will be all about tractors and the jobs they do on the farm. It will include a photo opportunity with a real John Deere tractor, and there will be plenty to see and do.

The kids and their parents will be able to hop aboard for a tractor pulled wagon ride, and all ages may enjoy viewing the historic agricultural implements that will be on display. A docent will read a tractor themed story to the group, and everyone can help feed the chickens. They are encouraged to wear tractor themed attire, and a crafting session is the works as well. The fun will be running for two hours, and tickets are expected to sell out well in advance.

With so much to learn, the world can be a very exciting place for kids, and a themed event takes advantage of their natural curiosity. A brochure printing company can prepare activity sheets, information Booklets and the materials for a function, which may help the attendees to learn even more.

The Tractor Day installment of Little Farmer Friday will welcome young “aggie” explorers, along with her parents or guardians, on March 7th. The fun will run from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
