Residents from all across Plano and the surrounding communities will soon be joining forces to stamp out lung cancer, and the function’s organizers are hoping that all this support will lead to an event that is a huge success.
The Free to Breathe 5 kilometer run and walk, which has been planned for Oak Point Park, will see supporters run, walk or roll along the selected route. Along with the active portion of the day, there will also be live music by Signed Sealed Delivered. There will also be a raffle and activities for the kids, including a bounce castle, face painting, and snow cones.
The top fundraisers and finishers will be recognized, and people are encouraged to gather their friends, families, coworkers and anyone else they can to form a team a maximize the impact of the day. The monies raised will be used by Free to Breathe to help them meet their goal of doubling the rate of survival for lung cancer by the year 2022. Banners, race bibs, promotional Flyers and a huge assortment of other customized items for a function such as this can be both designed and produced by a local printer.
