Plano event to welcome rockhounds and fossil fans

Plano rockhounds, as well as those from further afield, will be congregating in the city this May for an activity that will have plenty to catch their interest.

The Texas Mineral and Fossil Show will be three days of all things geology and mineral related, and it will welcome a wide assortment of dealers from across the country. The Plano Event Center will be the venue for the weekend, and admission will be free.

The gathering will include a pop-up market, and the attendees can meet and chat with the various vendors as well as the other shoppers. The excitement of geode cracking is on the agenda, and the kids in the crowd will each receive a free rock for as long as supplies last. Parking will be free, and a roster for guest speakers will take to the stage. Along with the mineral dealers there will be other small businesses on hand as well.

To add even more fun to the show, the organizers have scheduled a prize draw for the first day. A printer can prepare an assortment of Corporate Gifts that may be used as prizes for an activity like this.

This weekend planned with rockhounds and fossil fans in mind will be held from Friday, May 16th to Sunday, May 18th. It will open at 10:00 am each day.
