Even if they have never been in a canoe before, a Plano event is set to welcome future paddlers.
The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a wide variety of species of plants and animals, and its Canoe Trails program offers the public a sneak peek into this world. It is suitable for those who are age seven and up, and instruction will be provided.
When the registrants arrive for the activity, they will be introduced a variety of canoeing techniques, and they will also learn how to enjoy paddling in safety. After this, they will be treated to a 40-minute guided tour of the Heard wetlands before setting off to explore on their own. Masks are mandatory during the instruction, but they may be removed once the paddlers are out on the water.
Everyone who is interested in this activity will need to register ahead of time, and they must also complete the Participant Information and EcoAdventures Waiver of Liability and release of Claims Forms that can be found online. Stationery printers can prepare hard Copies of such items so that they can be made available for signing on the day when an event like this is to be held.
The Wetland Canoe Trail exploration has been scheduled for tomorrow (February 20), but also March 27, April 24, and May 15. Anyone under 18 will need to have an adult accompany them.
