Swimming can be great fun and exercise, but not everyone has had a chance to experience this for themselves. A Plano course will offer adults an easy introduction to the water, and it will be a co-ed event.
The participants in this series of classes will learn the fundamentals of swimming, and since it will take place in shallow water, they will have the confidence needed to learn and have fun. It is for anyone from age 13 on up.
Once they have gained a sense of comfort in entering the pool, the students will learn how to float and glide, and some of the basic arm and leg movements that are involved in swimming will be taught as well. The pupils will also discover how exhaling can be used to help keep them from swallowing water, and the class will move along at a relaxed pace.
These types of learning sessions can give adults a new way to keep fit, and since swimming is an activity that can be enjoyed by almost any age, it can also be a way for them to have a lot of fun throughout their life. Including it in community recreation guides and other publications can ensure that all locals know its offer, and Print shops can prepare these sorts of materials.
The Carpenter Park Recreation Center will be offering this gentle introduction to swimming starting on July 6. It will be held each Monday and Wednesday evening until July 29.
