Hot air balloon festival returns to Plano for another year

A festival planned for Plano will see the ski filled with hot air balloons, skydivers, and more.

The InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival is back for its 37th year. It will feature a fireworks show, skydiver demonstrations, kids activities, live music, food and craft vendors, a half marathon and fun runs, and of course hot air balloons.

So long as the weather cooperates, there will be both morning and evening launches, with the quiet aircraft lighting up the dark of the evening sky. There will also be tethered rides available of a first come, first served basis to those aged six and up. They will be priced at $25 for adults and $15 for kids ages 6-12. Only cash payments will be accepted.

Tickets for the festival are $5 each, and they can be purchased both online or at InTouch Credit Union branches starting on September 1. The event itself will take place from September 23 until September 25 at the Oak Point Park & Amphitheatre. Brochures can be printed to both help provide further information about events such as this to those living in the local area, and promote it further afield.

Anyone who is interested in purchasing tickets or viewing a full list of all of the activities that will be taking place is invited to visit the InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival’s website.
