Daiso Japan to open new store in Plano

A Japanese Dollar store will soon be opening its doors in Plano, and it is hoping to meet the needs of the Asian community.

Daiso Japan plans on opening its latest location in the city, and will sell everything from paint Pens to strainers, origami paper, and Japanese-inspired ceramic and plastic kitchenware. It is the largest chain of yen stores in Japan, and the same sorts of items that can be found in the stores in that country will be available in the Plano outlet.

Since opening last year, the Daiso store in Carrollton has proven to be very successful, and on its opening day, customers were lined up out the door to get in and browse and see what it had to offer. The hope is that the Plano location will be every bit as popular. Banners and other decorative items can be printed for use during the grand opening celebrations of retail enterprises such as this.

Plans call for the retailer to be open for business sometime in late June, at the corner of North Central Expressway and West Spring Parkway. The shopping center already contains an Asian American Grocery store. The area has a large community of people from Asia; at 12.9% of the local population, it is much higher than the national average of 5.4%.
