McAllen to host large hunting and fishing exposition

Outdoor enthusiasts from throughout McAllen and surrounding townships are once again expected to attend a multidisciplinary exhibition being held in July.

The 2026 Texas Hunter & Sportsman's Expo provides a means for vendors to market their products, and for guests to appreciate the latest trends associated with hunting. Now an annual tradition in McAllen, it was founded in 1991 by outdoor aficionado Jerry Curl. It has since become the largest of its kind in South Texas, and organizers claim that more than 40,000 guests are expected to attend. The festival will last for three days.

This exposition will offer a variety of onsite attractions. Discounted products, interactive exhibitions, fishing guides, outdoor Apparel, and hands-on educational workshops are some examples of what guests can expect to enjoy. A handful of special keynote speakers will also be present, although their names have yet to be announced.

Festivals associated with hunting and fishing will often use promotional techniques like banner printing, mass-produced Brochures, radio announcements, and time-sensitive social media pages.

The 25th Annual Texas Hunter & Sportsman's Expo is taking place between Friday, July 17 and Sunday, June 19. It is being hosted within the McAllen Convention Center located at 700 Convention Center Boulevard. General admission tickets are priced at $20, and children under 12 can enter free of charge.
