McAllen stair climb to honor first responders

A McAllen event will pay tribute to the first responders who risked their lives to save others during the events of September 11, 2001, and the public is welcome to join in the occasion.

There are spaces for 343 people to be a part of the 2018 McAllen Stair Climb, and this represents the number of firefighters who gave their lives to help others on 9/11. It will be held in Neuhaus Tower, and will begin at 7:00 am.

Each of the participants will climb 110 floors, which is the same number that were in the World Trade Center. While they do, they have been asked to keep in mind the first responders who rushed in to help at the Twin Towers as well as those from their own local area who work to keep them safe every day. The activity has been sanctioned by the Association of Memorial Stair Climbs, and the registration fee is $40.

Anyone who registers to participate will be able to pick up their stair climb packet starting at 7:00 am on the day of the event. Promotional products for this sort of occasion can be both designed and produced by a printer in the local area.

This opportunity to honor heroes takes place on September 9. It has been planned for 200 South 10th in McAllen.
