McAllen pets to pose for fundraising photo shoot
Fido or Fluffy will be able to have some time in front of the camera during a furry fundraiser planned in support of Yaqui Animal Rescue.
Roosevelt’s at 7, which is located at 821 North Main Street in McAllen, will be showing some love to companion animals in need by serving as the venue for a Halloween-themed pet photo shoot. Pet parents are encouraged to bring their dog, cat, or other “fur kid” in costume, and the proceeds of the day will be used to provide care for homeless animals.
While the pets wait to have their pictures taken, they can enjoy freshly prepared doggie treats, and a raffle draws in the works as well. Darel Parker will be taking the photos, and while there is no cost for the activity, those who attend are asked to give a generous donation to the rescue.
To help make sure the function reaches its fundraising goals, a variety of corporate gifts and other branded merchandise will be available for purchase. Along with raising additional money, they will help to spread awareness of the cause.
