A series of mini-conferences will be held throughout Texas this spring and early summer that will be focused on prevention and early intervention (PEI). A stop has been planned for McAllen, and registration is currently open to be part of the event.
The planners of this year’s conference noted that, due to popular demand, the theme for the function will be “mental health and trauma-informed approaches”. Those who are interested can also choose to register to take advantage of an opportunity to take part in a Mental Health First Aid course.
The symposium will be spread over two days, and the first will include part one of the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) training. The second section of this will be offered on the second day, and Mental Health First Aid courses will be run on both days. When they register, the attendees have been asked to choose only one option for each of the two days.
The mini-conference will be held in the Casa De Palmas Renaissance McAllen, and a block of rooms has been reserved for the attendees to book at a reduced rate. Conference packages and other learning materials can be prepared by a printing services provider for this sort of function, and these can be filled with an assortment of products, including promotional Pens.
The dates for this year’s PEI Regional Mini Conference in McAllen will be June 4 and 5. The training is scheduled to run from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on both days.
