McAllen hiring fair to help former military members

Once a military member has taken off their combats for the last time, they may need some help transitioning to civil employment, and a McAllen event will offer them assistance.

The city will be the location for a huge hiring fair intended for service members who are transitioning to “civvy street.” Reservists, National Guard members, veterans, and military families are also encouraged to participate, along with the general public.

For the safety of all, everyone who attends the function is asked to wear a mask and maintain social distance from the other attendees. A virtual option is on offer for anyone who would prefer to participate online. The list of employers that will have a table or other hiring display includes at least two dozen companies from both the public and private sectors, as well as not-for-profit groups. Institutions that offer educational upgrading and training will also be represented, which may be of interest to anyone who would like to get started in a different career.

Many businesses that book a display space in a function like his order Business Cards, promotional Pens and other products from local printers. This sort of swag can be printed with a company’s name and other branding.

The “Hiring Red, White and You” statewide employment event will take place on November 4. The McAllen Convention Center will be the venue for the occasion, which will run from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
