McAllen celebration to light up December sky
The holidays are just around the corner, and in McAllen, that means it is almost time for the 2017 McAllen Holiday Parade.
The event, which is Texas’s largest helium balloon and illumination parade, will feature more floats than ever, all of which will be brightly lit and designed to impress the crowd. In addition to this, 34 huge character inflatables will be included in the procession. The cast of entertainers, which includes several celebrities, will also involve 17 bands and other performers.
The theme for this year’s parade, which is expected to draw many visitors to the area, will be ‘Magic of Christmas’. Those who plan to attend can choose VIP or general seating, and the Veterans Memorial Stadium, which will be hosting the parade, has seats for 13,000.
The organizers of the event worked with both event and parade production companies to plan the festivities, and all are welcome. Christmas in the Park is also included in the day, and there will be lots of other attractions to enjoy as well. A printer in the local area will be able to provide banners and other large-scale decorations for a big public celebration like this.
This illuminated evening will be taking place in Veterans Memorial Stadium on December 2, and it is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm. Anyone who wants to purchase tickets or who requires more details has been asked to visit the parade’s website.
