For many in McAllen, getting together to bake and decorate cookies is a popular activity, and this is the inspiration behind a class that will be open to all this holiday season.
CC’s Sweets and Treats will be guiding the class, which will share tips and tricks that the students can use to decorate cookies like a pro. The techniques will first be demonstrated to the group, and after this, they will be able to try them out for themselves, working at their own pace.
Since the organizers feel that baking should be a fun activity, they have included an intermission in the agenda for the occasion. This will give the participants a chance to enjoy a drink and other refreshments, and at the conclusion of the workshop, all the pupils will be going home with cookies, as well as a recipe they can use to make their own royal icing so they can decorate cookies on their own.
