A McAllen area event will help kids learn more about the butterflies, moths and other flying insects of their community.
Mission, which bills itself as being “America’s Butterfly Capital”, will be the location for a four-day festival that will offer both learning and fun. Kids and adults alike can observe thousands of winged six-legged friends in their natural habitat, and there are typically over 300 species included.
Along with the butterflies, dragonflies, and other insects, the fall celebration will offer activities such as bounce houses and crafting stations. It will all be family friendly, and the younger visitors can even have their faces painted with a colorful design. Additionally, the National Butterfly Center will host a happy hour and dinner.
Organizing this type of large festival can sometimes prove to be a headache, but Print shops are there to come to the rescue. They can offer full line of products and services, making them a valuable part of an event planning team prior to events of this nature.
This year’s Texas Butterfly Festival is still scheduled to take place from Saturday, October 31 until Tuesday, November 3. The activities on the agenda will be on offer at various locations throughout Mission, and those who are interested are advised to check its website for the most up-to-date information.
