Hands-on fused glass workshop planned for McAllen
Many of those who call McAllen home have their own set of favorite holiday ornaments, and thanks to an upcoming workshop, they may just have a new piece to add to their collection.
Even if they have never worked with glass before, those who participate in McAllen’s Stained Glass’s Fused Glass Tree Votive Workshop will each be going home with a work of art they will have crafted all on their own. The registration fee includes the materials and tools needed, and the price to register is $35.
All learners in the workshop will be creating their own unique design, and can choose the colors they wish to use. The instructors will walk the students through the project, step by step, and the entire project, from start to finish, will take approximately two hours. Those who register are reminded that, for safety reasons, wearing open-toed shoes is not permitted during the classes.
To help them prepare for the event, the organizers have requested that anyone who would like to take part signs up ahead of time. Stationery printers will be able to prepare waivers and any other business forms that can help to make sure this type of function goes smoothly.
