Fun run 5K supports community in McAllen
Runners, walkers, and McAllen residents interested in getting active for a good cause will want to save the date, as a 5K and half-mile fun run is coming to town.
The St. John’s 3rd Annual Noodle Run has an official start date and time, providing a fun setting for friends and family to gather and get active in support of the McAllen community. It began as part of the Spaghetti Supper organized and hosted by Fireman’s Park in McAllen.
The event is open to seasoned runners, beginners, casual walkers, and children. There is an event option for all parties who want to participate. The half-mile race will open enrollment to all age groups, and participants will receive a swag bag and finisher’s medal, and be given an official finishing time to commemorate the experience. Banner printing is a fantastic way to welcome runners and walkers to the finish line while promoting sponsors at such events.
Participants in the 5K will receive an event T-shirt, swag bag, and finisher’s medal. The race will be timed. Interested parties are encouraged to dress for the weather, as the fun run will be held outdoors.
The run will begin at Fireman’s Park in McAllen on Saturday, April 26, with the half-mile starting at 6:00 PM. Registration starts at $15 and can be arranged online.
