Financial literacy workshop for McAllen small businesses

LiftFund has announced a one-day workshop for micro and small businesses known as “Improving Credit and Managing Debt.”

The workshop will be held at the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at 801 East Fern Avenue in McAllen, Texas. Its primary goal is to help businesses manage their debt, improve their credit score, and reduce their over-reliance on credit.

As such, attendees will get a presentation on how to manage business finances, how to create an effective business plan, and the best marketing tactics to use for companies in different industries. After the presentation, business leaders will get an opportunity to network with other small business owners in the area, share Business Cards, and get in-person individual advice from experts on how to take key business steps.

In partnership with a few local Texan organizations, LiftFund’s main aim is to help small businesses get the financial knowledge they need to succeed. As one of the largest non-profit Community Development Corporation (CDC) and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in the U.S., LiftFund offers loans to small businesses with limited access to traditional funding methods. Their main aim is to deter companies from falling for high-interest, predatory loans that often result in bankruptcy and business closure.

This informative event will take place on June 13th from 12.00 to 1.00 p.m. CDT, and all attendees are required to book a seat in advance.
