This July, Houston residents will be asked to roll up their sleeves and contribute to an event that may save someone’s life.
The Houston Arboretum has joined forces with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to serve as a location for blood drives, and a date has been scheduled for July. All types of blood are in high demand, and a mobile collection unit will be parked on site.
The schedule for the day includes a variety of 15 minute time slots for donating whole blood, and those who plan to do so are reminded to eat well on their donation day. When they arrive, some basic information will be collected, and it was explained that those who have a CFL Express Pass may complete this step at home. A mini health exam will be performed by the screeners, and if all goes well, it will be time to make the contribution. This usually takes ten minutes, and afterwards, the donor will rest with a light snack before they leave.
Blood donor drives give the public a way to make a positive impact. A poster printing company can work with organizers to ensure they have effective marketing materials that are budget friendly.
This chance to be an everyday hero will welcome blood donors on July 5th. Appointments can be booked through its web listing. The venue is located at 4501 Woodway Drive.
