Houston community service group to host February fundraisers

The Junior League of Houston tackles an assortment of community issues at the grassroots level, and a special event will help to fund its efforts.

The service organization will be welcoming guests for its 76th annual charity ball in early February, and it will celebrate the work of its volunteers as well as its patrons. The festivities will be spread out over two nights, both promising to be enchanted affairs.

The fun will get started with a kick-off party planned for a Thursday evening, and the suggested attire for this is fashionable cocktail. The dinners will take place the next two evenings, and a silent auction, seated meal, and dancing are all on the agenda for both.

Since the fundraisers depend on the support of the local corporate community, there are several underwriting opportunities available. These allow a company or individual to reserve an entire table, and donations of Corporate Gifts and other items for the silent auction will also be appreciated. A raffle draw for one of the prize baskets will wrap up the celebration.

These opportunities to support community development and have fun doing so are scheduled for Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3, with the cocktail kick-off party planned for Thursday, February 1. The festivities will be held at 1811 Briar Oaks Lane.
