A camp dedicated to learning about the community’s natural side is on offer for Houston kids, and these budding naturalists will enjoy mornings filled with learning and fun.
The eight-week-long BotaniCamp, which is being organized by the Houston Botanical Gardens, will be a day camp for youngsters from grade kindergarten up to grade five. Each week will have its own special theme, and parents can opt to register their child for as many sessions as they wish.
The campers will be invited to engage in a variety of nature based activities, and they will be using each of their senses to explore the world around them. Scientists and other subject matter experts will guide the learning, and the kids will plant seeds, learn about birds and other animals and discover how humans can play a positive role in the environment.
The registration fee for the activity is $205 per week for each child, and scholarships may be available for any families experiencing financial hardship. T-shirts and other branded gear for the campers who take part in a camp like this can be provided by a company that crafts corporate gifts.
BomtaniCamp , which is making its debut this year, will run from June 21 to August 13. All camps will take place at 8210 Park Place Boulevard, with each day starting at 8:00 am and wrapping up at 12:00 pm.
