The 2nd annual Brunch and Ball Gowns Recognition and Awards gala will be taking place next month in Houston. It is a fundraising event for Smahrt Girl.
Smahrt Girl is an organization that provides scholarships, mentoring, and development programs for girls between the ages of 12 and 21. Among the scholarships handed out are for girls in CSTEM (communication, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), in rural communities, or in hardship.
This year, the organization is honoring seven women who have done their part to help young girls to succeed in their educations. Among the women who will be recognized during the afternoon are Lashanda Gary of Dream Build Success, Dr. Leticia Plummer from Maxwello Dental, police officer Mary Young, and fashion designer Toni Whitaker.
Sponsorships are available for purchase for those business leaders who cannot make it or who want to contribute further.
Approximately 400 guests are expected to attend this Houston brunch, many of whom will no doubt have received printed Invitations provided by a local Stationery printing firm.
The Brunch and Ball Gowns Recognition and Awards gala will be held at Hotel Za Za on January 28 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM. Tickets are $75 for those aged 19 and younger, $150 for adults, $250 for VIP, and $300 for those with a doctorate degree, as the VIP and Doctorate tickets include a pre-brunch reception.
