The Houston Zoo is one of many institutions across the globe that will soon be celebrating the lives of the world’s largest land mammals, and everyone is on the guestlist for the occasion.
The venue will be offering the public a chance to be part of its World Elephant Day festivities, and its resident Asian elephants will be the stars of the soiree. There will be an assortment of special learning opportunities and other fun, and it will run throughout its scheduled date.
Included in their regular ticket price, visitors can take in a special chat from one of the elephant keepers who will be discussing their care, ecology, and other related topics. Everyone can watch these gentle giants get treated to some extra enrichments, and themed activities will be in the mix as well. The wildlife workshop will also have a seedball making station on site.
