The Houston area is set to host several fun-filled activities for Independence Day, with The Woodlands hosting two days packed with activities this year.
The event will begin on Sunday night with the Star Spangled Salute featuring a concert by the Houston Symphony. This is a free event that will take place at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion beginning at 6:30 PM.
The next day is filled with a variety of events suitable for people of all ages. One of the most anticipated activities of the day will be the annual South County Fourth of July Parade which begins at 9:00 AM at The Woodlands Methodist Church. Later on in the day, the ‘Things that Go’ bike parade will be held at Northshore Park. Open to children aged 14 and under, prizes will be given for the best decorations. It will be followed by a concert by The Spicolis.
There will also be live music at Hughes Landing beginning at 5:30 pm. Finishing off the night is the Red, Hot and Blue Festival at Tom Green Park from 6:30 to 10:00 pm, which will culminate in a fireworks extravaganza.
No doubt visitors from all over, including Houston, will want to attend at least one of these events. To advertise, organizers may distribute Flyers in the area.
