Tasty affair on its way to Texas

The 12th annual Sugar Land Wine and Food Affair is taking place in Houston in a month’s time.

Presented by the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce and the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, there are a number of events planned to take place over the five days.

The first offering planned is La Dolce Vida, which is a five-course Italian-inspired dinner. Tickets for this are $150 each and it will be held on April 8. There is also set to be a Grand Tasting on April 10, during which guests will taste a variety of dishes from top chefs and will have the opportunity to participate in an auction. Proceeds will support Scholarship Endowment for Hilton College. Tickets are also $150 each.

Other events will include a bistro lunch, a sip and stroll at the Imperial Sugar Factory, a bartender challenge, and the World Whiskey Tour. Houston companies often help to publicize events such as this by providing poster printing services, hoping to draw in crowds through aesthetics.

The Sugar Land Wine and Food Affair will take place at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square from April 8 to 12. Ticket prices vary for each event and a VIP five-day pass is available for $225. To find out more about this upcoming festival, call 832-831-3167.
