The 3rd annual Education Symposium will be held in Houston this May, presented by the East End Chamber of Commerce.
The aim of the event is to bring business, educators, and community organizations together to form a more skilled future workforce. The day will begin with breakfast featuring an address on local trends and opportunities from Neil Bush and John Fitzpatrick. This will be followed by two separate sessions where attendees can choose between a pair of forums; topics of discussion include the impact of House Bill 5 and how to close the skills gap.
Later on, there will be a business and education expo where various local organizations will be providing information about their products, programs, and services. There is still room for more booths, which cost $150 each.
The day will end off with a luncheon, at which the keynote speaker will be John Deasey giving a talk about education equity. Several scholarships will also be presented.
Business leaders in Houston will probably take the time to attend this important symposium. In order to advertise to them, organizers may invest in services such as brochure or flyer printing. These items can easily be distributed in the city.
The Education Symposium will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank on May 13 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. Tickets are $65 for Chamber members and $75 for non-members. Call 713-926-3305 to learn more.
