Space Center gets decked out for holidays

Space Center Houston is already celebrating the holidays, and will do so for the rest of 2020 with Galaxy Lights.

The center will be decked out with thousands of lights in different areas. There are two kinetic light shows with suspended lights that move around to create patterns. The Disney Theater features Holidays in Space, showing various astronauts celebrating Christmas in space. The Astronaut Gallery has the "Let There be Light" live, interactive show and a twinkling tree.

Winter Wonderland features a light tunnel, an interactive light pad and an indoor meteor show. It is set up right next to one of the space shuttles. In addition, the Zero-G Diner patio is selling food and drinks. Lastly, six aluminium trees are set up to represent the countries that have participated in the International Space Station program.

It is suggested that visitors take 90 minutes to enjoy the entire event. Tickets are $19.95 for those aged four and over, and $15.95 for Space Center Houston members.

Houston Stationery printers frequently provide the printed advertising used to spread the word of events such as these.

The event will be held at Space Center Houston until January 3, 2021, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM each night. To learn more about this event and any upcoming changes, visit the Space Center Houston website.
