While there are several species of North American butterflies that migrate, monarchs are the best known, and a Houston event will offer insight into the lives of these long-distance Flyers.
Houston Botanic Garden has organized a day that will provide a glimpse into the conditions monarchs face as they make their journey to their summer homes in the north. All ages are welcome at the event, which will be later this month.
People will be invited to follow a trail through the garden, designed to highlight the challenges monarchs face. Some stations will present an obstacle while others provide a reward, and at the end of their walk, the attendees will head to the Susan Garver Family Discovery Garden to enjoy a display of projects being undertaken to support the butterflies. A face painter, live music, and an opportunity to pose for photos with Ranger Rick are on the agenda, and a scavenger hunt has also been planned.
An event intended to raise public awareness of a cause may be a good fit for the services of a poster printing company. It can provide oversized visual materials that showcase how individuals can make a difference.
March for Monarchs will offer these hardy Flyers a helping hand on Saturday, March 22. It will run from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at 8205 N. Bayou Drive.
