Houston to host new pop-up farmers markets

Shopping at a farmers’ market can be a fun and thrifty activity, and one that will be on offer in Houston this summer has scheduled its grand opening.

The Energy Corridor Farmers Market will be up and running starting in late June, taking place in the afternoon. It will be a recurring event, and since it is new, the organizers are hoping it will attract a lot of attention.

The shoppers at the market will be able to purchase a wide variety of agricultural products grown in the local area. Eggs, honey, produce, visits by Fredericksburg Peach Truck, artisan butters, and many other items will all be available, and there will be activities as well to help keep children entertained. Ready-to-eat snacks and full meals may be purchased, and many of the growers will be on site to meet the public.

A farmers’ market or similar style event makes it easier for community members to support local farms and other agricultural operations. A flyer printing company can lend a hand by preparing an assortment of marketing materials.

The grand opening for this brand-new Houston shopping market is set for Sunday, June 30th at 1520 Eldridge Parkway. It will continue to take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursday of each month, and its online listing offers additional information.
