Houston’s American Festival for the Arts (AFA) is preparing for a special race that will help to fund its community projects, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun of the day.
The group will be hosting its Bayou City Duck Race, and the rubber racers will be individually tagged before they hit the water. The public is invited to adopt one or more ducks to enter in the event, and the tag numbers will be randomly assigned to keep the function fair for all.
The plans for the morning of the race include an assortment of activities, and the ducks will then be launched. The owners of the first 10 past the finish line will receive a prize, and there will also be winners chosen at random. They will be contacted with details about their winnings, and they do not have to be present to claim their prize. AFA is a 501 (c) (3) charity, and the proceeds will help young people develop a love of music.
For a fundraiser like this, a banner printing company will have an assortment of ways to help make it even better. It can prepare items for both the start and finish line, as well as marketing materials to suit a budget.
The 2021 Bayou City Duck Race will be helping to connect kids with music on November 6. More details are available on its website.
