A festival that features a popular shellfish is set to please local foodies, and it will open the city’s crawfish season.
The Houston Crawfish Kickoff Festival will be bringing food and fun to Guadalupe Plaza Park, and the crowd is expected to top 2000 attendees. Only a limited number of tickets are available, and the organizers explained that it will likely be sell out.
The family friendly experience will see the crawfish served all you can eat style, and this is just the start of the excitement. DJs and live bands will be providing the tunes, and the landlubbers in the crowd can choose their favorite fare from the food vendors that will be on hand. The venue offers a park like setting, and anyone who would like to wet their whistle can head to the full bar. While there will be seating available, the ticket holders may bring a blanket or folding chair if they wish.
