The 39th annual FM 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade is taking place in Houston next month. Proceeds will be donated to the Cypress Creek EMS Scholarship Fund.
The parade participants will gather at FM 1960 (Farm to Market Road 1960, which is also known as the Cypress Creek Parkway). The parade will then travel along Champion Forest to Kuykendahl. Those who wish to participate in the parade pay $250 for one vehicle/float, but sponsors (who pay from $500 up to $5,000) can also take part.
The parade is set to feature the usual attractions such as marching bands and floats. This year’s Grand Marshall is Scott McClelland, and the Budweiser Clydesdales will also be on hand. Afterwards, there will be an awards ceremony and auction to be held at Mak’s Place.
A vendors’ market will also be set up in the Home Depot Parking Lot, which will also provide a good vantage point from which to watch the parade. Visitors will be able to purchase souvenirs, food, and drink here.
It is likely that many of those who are participating in the parade, such as marchers and float sponsors, will be investing in items such as Banners from a favorite Houston printing company.
