The UN's International Day of Yoga is taking place on June 21. The aim is to raise awareness of yoga and its benefits around the world.
The theme for this year's day will be ‘Climate Action’. There are at least two celebrations taking place in Houston to observe the occasion.
The first will be the 5th International Day of Yoga celebration presented by the Consulate General of India and YouniverSoul Fest. It will consist of a yoga program and lawn activities. All levels of yoga participants are welcome. Vendors will also be on hand to sell yoga-related merchandise.
A couple of days later, Brahma Kumaris Texas will be hosting the Raja Yoga Meditation Experience. Guests will be treated to a class in Raja yoga, and everyone from aged 16 and over is welcome to participate.
The organizers of such events in Houston often invest in products from printing services companies to help them spread the word in the community.
The International Day of Yoga celebration will be held at Midtown Park on June 21 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Admission is free but guests must RSVP on Eventbrite.
The Raja Yoga Meditation Experience will take place at Brahma Kumaris Texas in Houston on June 23 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Admission is free. For the most up-to-date information about this event, call 832-379-8888.
