Festival showcases art and music in Houston

The Day for Night festival is taking place over three days next month in Houston.

An art and music festival, it showcases some of the best new artists and musicians working in the United States today. There will be musical entertainment, 18 indoor and outdoor art installations, and performances by visual artists.

The event will start off with the Friday Summit. Several well-known figures will be giving speeches and there will be music performances. Among those who will be speaking on Friday are Laurie Anderson and Chelsea Manning. Tickets for the summit are separate to the festival and are $95 each.

Some of the musical performers who are slated to appear at this year’s festival are Nine Inch Nails, Solange, St. Vincent, and James Blake. Participating artists will include Ryoji Ikeda, Conditional Studio, and James Clar.

VIP tickets are available for all three days for $750 and up. These tickets include access to a private lounge, premium seating for concerts, and a private bar.

It is likely that organizers have invested in poster printing services to help spread word of the festival in the Houston area.

Day for Night will be held at Post HTX from December 15 to 17. A one-day ticket is $105 and a two-day pass is $205. For the most current information about the festival, visit the official event website.
