The Carnival Houston Festival is taking place in the city next month for three days.
Several events are planned over the three days. It will all start off with a Fantasy Costume Ball at a yet-to-be-announced location on June 9 from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The evening will feature body painting and costume contests. Prizes will be given for Best Individual and Best Group Costume. Tickets are $25 each.
Next is the Neon Paint Rave on June 10 at the Houston Food Park for those aged 18 and over. Guests are encouraged to dress in white and neon colors. Tickets are $25 and it also runs from 9:00 PM until 2:00 AM.
The next day will be a full day of celebrations. It will start off with a costume parade on Lamar, and will feature groups, musical acts, and plenty of colorful costumes. Afterwards, there will be a festival across from Discover Green, which will take place from 12:00 – 8:00 PM and is set to feature carnival rides, vendors, a limbo contest and plenty of other activities. Tickets to this are $10 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of 5 and 12.
Houston banner printing companies will likely be asked to help decorate the various venues.
